Custom Built Lightsabers
"Harbinger"
Larbel MPP Vader ANH replica with Fully Removable Epic Reveal Chassis and Crystal Focus v6
After building my Vader ROTJ entitled "Skeleton", I decided to build a Vader ANH and Vader ESB also. I begin here with the Vader ANH, which will use a Larbel replica MPP flash handle as the saber body, and a fully scratchbuilt inner Core which can be completely removed. Epic Reveal-type removable Cores are becoming a bit of my signature. Pictured here is the blade holder, lathed from 6061 aluminum. The lip approximates the original part.
The rear Core, which will house the soundboard, batteries, speaker, and recharge and R.I.C.E. ports, is detailed with hand scribed "Circuitry" patterns and acid etched. The milled channels are reminiscent of the Death Star's wall paneling, and the orange backlit color foreshadows the Carbonite Freezing Chamber floor on Bespin in ESB.
Note the flush mounted switch. This concludes my Vader ANH build.
