Custom Built Lightsabers
Build Log of a heavily customized MHS saber with acid engraving and Crystal Focus v6
"Thresh"
"Thresh" was sketched and built over the course of three days. It is my first saber to feature acid engraving, and is a hybrid of MHS and scratchbuilt body parts. The saber's design combines elements from The Old Republic and the Prequel era.
I begin with machining a central "bolt" out of two sections of aluminum. Pictured here is a one piece tube which slides over a solid aluminum bar. The tube comprises outer details, while the inner bar gives the assembly strength. The Sharpie marks denote approximate groove locations for external detail.
