Custom Built Lightsabers
Build Log of a heavily customized MHS saber with a unique free floating G-Core and SUPER BRIGHT SSR-90 LED
"Noniusz"
"Noniusz" explores a rearward facing G-Core which can be fully exposed when its outer shroud is removed (bottom of picture). Here is a basic layout of this in-progress saber. The outer body, neck, and emitter are all modified MHS parts. The internal parts shown are all custom made from scratch using a manual lathe and mill. This saber will also feature a PCv2.0 and super bright SSR-90 Green LED at 3.15Vf @2A, which is noticeably brighter than a typical LEDEngin 10W Green setup at 7.4Vf @ 1A.
A close up showing the detailing process, which is only about 40% complete. Ports for lighting still need to be milled, perhaps a fluted copper shroud at the rear, and about 20 other tiny detailing parts will add depth to this design and visual interest when the saber is opened up for display. Stay tuned...
