Conversion of a very rare Larbel Qui Gon TPM solid aluminum saber to CFv5 with a full length reveal
"Crux"
This is my 2nd conversion of a very rare Larbel QG straight cut version, made in the year following the original release of episode 1 in 1999. It is a heavy, solid aluminum hilt, comprised of a black anodized pommel cap, a solid anodized central section, an anodized threaded emitter section, and the three bright aluminum pieces visible here (emitter face, body shroud, and switch base). This is going to be a challenge to convert to a fully functioning LED saber.
This version of the Larbel has deep, straight cut grooves. All the electronics will need to be concealed in the area underneath the silver shroud, but I also want to somehow cram a complete Core Reveal feature into that area. Anyone who knows my work know that I avoid exposed wiring.
