Custom Built Lightsabers
"Hatchet"
Detailed build log of a heavily modified MHS hilt, featuring a fully displayable forward G-Core
This project, entitled "Hatchet", began with building the central Core parts, but unfortunately I didn't take any photos. With these parts fabricated, the next step is to thread the four 28ga wires through the two 1/8" OD hollow brass tubes. Care is taken to avoid any kinking that might occur.
Success! Passing the wires through without any kinks took 30 minutes. Add that to the 20 hours it took to fabricate the 36 parts shown. (Yes, THIRTY SIX PIECES!)
Final tight shot of Hatchet, a great saber project with lots of character, its fair share of challenges, and a unique suite of features which set it apart from other customized MHS sabers.
